Zend has optimized PHP for mobile applications in new releases of Server and Studio


Zend company producing software for PHP developers has prepared new versions of their application platform and tool kit to create PHP-applications, mobile ones in particular.

Zend announced Zend Server 6 – the latest version of the platform for Internet and mobile applications. New release includes the tools, processes and infrastructure that simplify the cooperation in developers’ groups. The platform allows automatic deployment of application after it is tested. It accelerates the process of deployment and allows avoiding any mistakes.

This release is aimed to help the developers prevent the crash of mobile applications. It helps with finding out the roots of problems, for example in cases when the application doesn’t provide the same productivity as it used to provide while testing. Besides, new platform supports the interaction between developers and operators.

Zend Server 6 has the architecture based on API-interface that allows combining with a wide range of tools of continuous integration and monitoring such as Hudson, Jenkins, Nagios and HP OpenView. Besides the platform supports PHP and Zend Framework and contains the latest updates of protection system.

Developers are able now to create faster applications using a bite-code, data objects and caching of screens with given URL-addresses. There are some new debugging tools in the latest version of Zend tool kit including web-service debugging unique for the integrated development environment (IDE) Zend Server and Zend Studio 10.

Zend has also presented new free version of Zend Server 6. It includes the certificated stack, means of creating profiles and PHP debugging. It is also possible to build the diagrams of productivity of applications and server. However as compared with the commercial editions the free version provides the reduced terms of data storage, it has no technical support and the producing abilities are limited.
